Koala Birthday Card

So many birthdays in February! I had a lot of fun making this simple, sweet and super sparkly card for a friend. I hope she likes it as much as I do.

I did some Distress Ink blending, added some shimmer spray, added an adorable koala and sentiment by Gerda Steiner Designs, and then added some really lovely Kat Scrappiness sequins.

How cute is that koala?!? Also, how fantastical are the sequins? I think you can see the shimmer- it’s super shimmery.

Anyway, hope you’re having a lovely day, and that you enjoyed the card.

Groundhog Day Grunge.

Happy Groundhog Day! For my fellow Sciuridae-loving friends out there, I thought I’d share a card I made with a vintage and grungy feel, celebrating the awesomeness of one of my favorite rodents. I have many. Unfortunately, not all of them have their own holidays. Boo!

Beavers are actually similar to groundhogs, so with some creative masking I used Timber by Stacey Yacula Studio and Purple Onion Designs

I used Cherry Lynn Designs Polaroid Frame Die and tinted the frame with some antique silver InkaGold- gives some lovely shimmer, but also kind of a muted vintage feel.

I really like how it turned out. Simple. A little shimmery. Good stuff, no?

Ll-AMA-zing!

I just love llamas. When I saw the Llama tell you stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs I just had to have it.

I wanted to make a cute, masculine, silly but still clean and simple card for a special grandpa in my life. He has some vision issues, so the brighter the better, and the cleaner and simpler the better.

I think this card is adorable, and couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out.
